Through a blessed combination of circumstances, I have been positioned to help people with developmental and learning disabilities—more than I ever dreamed.  So now in Penn-sylvania there’s a foundation to buy miracles for these people…so they can do the things we all take for granted, like enjoying life with family and friends, and looking forward to each day being better…people like my nephew, and my son.  Please help. Speaker’s Gala to benefit nonprofit serving individuals with learning disabilities

02/11/08: State Rep. Dennis M. O’Brien, elected speaker of Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives last year, will host the Speaker’s Gala on April 5, 2008, which will raise donations to benefit people with learning disabilities. O’Brien has started a nonprofit, Keystone Charities Fund, for individuals with such developmental and learning disabilities as autism, Asperger’s syndrome, dyslexia and attention deficit disorder. Donations to the foundation would help fund organizations, programs, schools and agencies that serve individuals with these and other developmental disorders that make learning a struggle. The First Annual Speaker's Symposium

01/27/08: PA Speaker of the House, Dennis O'Brien, is pleased to announce The First Annual Speaker's Symposium scheduled to take place on April 4, 2008. The dual tract event will feature two conferences, a Transitions Conference presented by Elwyn, and a Learning Disabilities Conference organized by the Academy in Manayunk along with the PA Branch of the International Dyslexia Association.
